Venue Review: Coworth Park
When the Dorchester Collection create a new hotel they sure do it properly. Coworth Park is testimony to this. Set on the outskirts of Ascot, just a 40minute drive away from Central London, the building was once the country residence of the collections owner, the Sultan of Brunei. Converted for commercial use in 2011 they have created a fabulous retreat, almost unparalleled in luxury.
The mansion forms the basis of the hotel and houses two restaurants, a selection of rooms & suites and the meeting and events spaces. The Sultan’s stables have been converted into characterful bedrooms and some cottages in the grounds are now luxury retreats. There’s also informal dining available in The Barn and a world class spa in the grounds. In terms of events the venue is perfect for those at the top level. C-suite board retreats, product launches, private dining, incentive trips and glamorous weddings are the order of the day here.
Even with all of the above possibly the most surprising thing about Coworth Park are the prices. While they’re certainly not bargain bucket, compared to similar venues less than 20miles away in London you really do get some serious value for money.
