Unique Events Venues in London
Not a day goes by when we don’t have a request for a venue that’s a bit quirky/different/unique/unusual etc. It’s hardly a surprise that people are becoming tired of the normal, often mundane, meeting rooms offered by hotels or conference centres. For too long they have remained static and become stagnant in the process.
HMS President Situated on Victoria Embankment HMS President was formerly a WW1 Q Ship, now converted to offer meetings & events spaces. Offering amazing views of the Thames (well it is floating on it!) the boat has two spacious decks which are perfect for summer parties & BBQs. Inside the largest space can accommodate 300 guests and has a private bar. At the front of the ship there’s a separate space split over two floors for smaller events of around 100 and complete with a private deck.
The Cartoon Museum Quirky & fun, the Cartoon Museum is one of our newest unusual venues in London. Ideal for standing receptions the walls are jam packed with artwork that will entice conversation, thus making it superb for events such as networking sessions.
ZSL London Zoo You don’t need to be an animal lover to see the appeal of London Zoo. A great, and very professional, events venue they can cater for anything from conferences to networking event. If you want to go all out you can hire spaces such as Penguin Beach for summer parties, complete with BBQ, bars & entertainment.
Wallacespace A slight outlier on the list, the venue itself if aimed squarely at meetings & training events, but their unique approach to these make them stand out. Founded and owned by a former trainer who was fed up with the aforementioned mundane spaces on offer in London. Wallacespace now has three sites in the capital, each offering bright & quirky rooms, usually for around 10-40 delegates and all with natural daylight. The venues are all about creating relaxed environment where creativity can flow freely. Their catering offer if unsurpassed with various shared stations offering sweets, healthy snacks, drinks, fruit etc on a unlimited basis and open kitchens with daily specials and group dining. A real break from the norm and highly recommended.
Icetank Studio ICE TANK is a hidden gem in the heart of Covent Garden, situated on a quiet street off Shaftesbury Avenue. With fantastic transport links and a unique aesthetic it is the ideal choice for prestigious press events or exclusive parties. ICETANK is awash in natural light with high-end equipment and contemporary designer furnishings and fixtures. ICE TANK has 2500 sq ft space spread over two levels with 12 x 12ft door access into the main area of the studio. Amenities include wi-fi, stereo system, two plasma screens, an HD projector and even a fire place! On the ground floor there’s a purpose built luxury kitchen with a gigantic skylight and modern appliances throughout. Top tip - Icetank Studio is on Grape Street in London, however if you google ‘Grape Street London’ wikipedia will tell you this road used to have a slightly ruder name!
