Any idea what 1500sqm looks like? I’ll give you a clue, it’s pretty big, and it’s available to hire at the ILEC Conference Centre in Earl’s Court. The venue has always been seen as the small (not poor) relation to it’s next door neighbour, the eponymous Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre. However this is all about to change with the imminent demolition of Earl’s Court, in favour of overpriced, and probably soulless, apartments, meaning ILEC will take centre stage in this corner of West London.
The main space, the London suite, is a flexible room with multiple partition walls. The space can be divided up into a maximum of 9 rooms, or opened in it’s entirety, which gives a space that can accommodate conferences of 1200 or dinners of 800. It can of course be used too as an exhibition hall, giving 1200sqm in the London suite and an additional 290sqm in the foyer. Unlike many venues which offer space for ‘exhibitions’ these guys really know how to cater for this market, with separate entrances, good catering options and a knowledgeable events team.
Elsewhere there are 5 syndicate rooms, mainly boardrooms for 10-25 delegates, although one can do up to 50 theatre style. All of these rooms are well appointed and benefit from natural daylight. The onsite Ibis hotel offers 500+ bedrooms, at the sort of reasonable rates you’d associate with Ibis, and various food & beverage outlets.
