Budget Venues London

I would like to stress that I refer to the word ‘budget’ above in nothing but a positive way. The venues below are not budget in the way that Poundland is, they are affordable for a variety of reasons. Some are located in areas without a large local business presence, others do not necessarily need to rent out space for events, but do so to boost the coffers. What they each offer is affordable and well maintained event spaces/packages, along with exemplary service. In fact in most cases, prices aside, they are better than most hotels and conference venues.

28 Portland Place Probably the finest venue on our list, 28 Portland Place is one of London’s townhouse catering for meetings, conferences and dinners. They offer a basic day delegate rate of £38.50+VAT for meetings and conferences of up to 100 delegates and affordable dining options.

106 Piccadilly Located in one of London’s most exclusive addresses, just a few doors down from the Ritz, is 106 Piccadilly. Designed by Robert Adam and a former home to the Earl of Coventry and Ian Fleming. The main spaces offers period features, high ceilings, an anteroom and views across Green Park. They offer a staggering day delegate rate for conferences of up to 90 at £29.95. This includes 3 x tea coffee, room hire, a buffet lunch, wifi AND a projector/screen and PA system!

Kensington Close Hotel The privately owned Kensington Close Hotel can accommodate events for up to 230 delegates across 4 main event spaces, each of which can be split into smaller sections, giving the hotel 9 spaces. They have 700+ bedrooms on site making it an ideal venue for residential training events. With day delegate rates from as low as £45 and bedrooms from £120, Kensington Close is a truly affordable hotel in one of the nicest parts of London.

Browns Courtrooms, Covent Garden Originally used as the Westminster County Court, Browns restaurant took over some years back, converting the downstairs into a restaurant and keeping the upper floors free for events. You can host conferences, meetings and dinners in the original courtrooms, which are awash with character. Prices are competitive and minimum spends are available, making it an ideal venue for many events.

The Kia Oval Home of the Surrey County Cricket Club and host to numerous international fixtures throughout the year the Oval offers competitive DDR rates and can hold conferences of up to 400 and dinners for up to 500. They also have an abundance of private boxes, ideal spaces for meetings and small conferences. Conveniently located a stones throw from Oval tube station, the venue has the new and impressive Corinthian Roof Terrace which can be used as an outdoor event space for summer BBQs, with superb views across the capital.
